So I woke up this morning and decided to start my big challenge of trying to burn away 1000 calories a day!

Well today I didn’t make my goal, but I did burn 631 calories! It’s a good start I think! So today I did some running outside and some on a treadmill . But I also did some biking later in the day so I ended up burning a little more I’m sure and that’s not even counting the gym! So I think I may have managed to get a near 1000 today!!  It felt great! To go with my new workout plan, I also started a new diet that consists of eating a lot of veggies, tofu and chicken for the next month!

I kinda cheat every now and then with some chocolate and candy’s LOL …  But I deserved it! After my firstday of intense working out, I  had to nap, I was so tired! After my nap I had my live cam show for NEXT DOOR MALE online at 8pm est. time to 9pm. After that, I went out to grab some groceries for my new diet and now just relaxing at home with the pups… I feel like I got a lot accomplished today!

The craziest thing happened to me last Wednesday. I was attacked by my blender, haha. I have a small blender that I use for blending my protein shakes. It’s one where you load the cup and screw the ring with the blades onto the cup and then load onto the blender. It’s similar the the Magic Bullet blender, but a different brand. When I’m using this blender I have to keep my hand on it to keep it stable. If you take your hand off, the container my come loose and splatter the contents all over the kitchen. In this case my hand is what splattered all over the kitchen. The cup with my protein shake and berries broke while on the blender and the cup flew to the side causing my hand to drop into the blender blades while they were spinning. Matt the Great was in the kitchen with me when my hand hit the blades and berried and blood went everywhere.

At first I didn’t realize I had been injured. In a split-second the pain hit and it was like nothing I had ever felt before. Matt heard me scream but didn’t know what had happened until he saw my hand. He immediately grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my hand to try to stop the bleeding. After applying pressure for a couple of minutes he washed my hand under cold, running water to make sure there was nothing in the cut. Then he bandaged it and insisted I go to the medical clinic and get stitches. At first I didn’t want to go because I didn’t feel like spending the next 24 hours waiting to be seen by a doctor. Luckily Matt knew where a clinic was not far from my house.

When we got to the clinic the lady at the front desk told us that they were closing and that there was no one to see me. I told her my hand had just been cut up in a blender and that this was an emergency. She had a bit of an attitude but I begged her to talk to the doctor and see if they would treat me. The doctor agreed to see me and she took me back to an exam room with Matt. After a few minutes the doctor came in and looked at my hand. She said if I went to the hospital I would have to wait 18 to 24 hours, and by that time it would be too late because my hand would have started healing and there would have been more damage. She tried to freeze my hand with a needle, but the shot hurt so damn much. To numb my hand she had to put the needle into the meat around the cuts. I could barely stand the pain of the needle. Matt had to hold my arm so that I didn’t move. Finally I asked her to stitch up my hand without any more numbing. What is the difference between sticking a needle in to freeze my hand and just sticking the sewing needle in to do the stitches? So she agreed and put four stitches in the biggest cut and then used surgical glue on the smaller cut. The doctor was having a hard time getting the stitches in my hand. She said I have very thick skin and it was like trying to sew leather, lol. While I was there the doctor gave me a tetanus shot to be safe.

Now I have to keep the stitches in for one week. It makes it a little hard to type and text but at least there doesn’t seem to be any more damage that just a couple of deep cuts. Matt played nurse for the doctor by holding my arm and passing her things as she asked for them. Then he took good care of my hand by making sure to change my bandages and keeping my hand clean. OMG, I’m so glad he was there to get me to the clinic. I didn’t even know the clinic was there, haha.

After cutting my hand I went to the gym to do some cardio and then we went out for drinks. Damn, I needed to unwind after such a horrible day. Everyone in the village was asking about my hand and wanted to see the pictures, lol. It’s amazing how people seem to want to see gross things like this, so I had to show them all the pictures. I was getting so much attention from hot guys

So, just a warning to everyone, if you have a small blender like mine, be very careful and keep you hands away from the blades at all times. I know it sounds like common sense but it could happen so fast. I was very lucky not to lose a finger or crush a bone. It’s a good thing I have fast reflexes. Things could have been much worse. My blender is a high-end blender and ice crusher. It could have gone through my bone with no problem. It kind of freaks me out to think about it. I don’t think there is any permanent damage. I’m having a little tingling in my hand but I think that’s natural after something like this.

Anyway, I’m off to the gym for a little cardio. I’m going to try to do a little weight training, but I have to be careful with my hand. I hope it will be healed soon. It’s hard for me to go a day without lifting some kind of weights, grrrrr.

Hello, boys and girls. Is everyone ready for summer? I sure am. Yesterday was incredibly warm. It was 82 degrees F. I was loving it. Today the temperature turned cool again with really cold winds, but at least the warm Monday gave me hope and reminded me that my favorite time of year is right around the corner

My good friend Matt the Great is visiting for a few days. He’s also been cooking for me. For breakfast this morning he made an amazing casserole with green bell peppers, mushrooms, veal sausage, egg whites and cheddar cheese. Tonight for dinner Matt made some incredible chicken marsala with couscous. The chicken was so tender and full of flavor. I barely had to chew, it melted in my mouth, haha. Tomorrow night we are having gnocchi (potato pasta) and mushroom spaghetti sauce. I can’t wait, hehe Other than all the cooking, we took what remained if my old fence to the dump and hit the gym twice. Tonight we are going to relax with a couple of movies and eat some more chicken marsala!

Happy Easter and Passover to everyone. I hope you had an amazing weekend. I certainly did. My parents came down to visit me for the day. That was such a nice surprise. We went for a long walk with the dogs along a river near my house. It was beautiful and warm outside. The dogs loved the long walk and I loved spending the day with my parents. They absolutely love my dogs, haha.

last night I had a barbeque for about twelve friends to celebrate Easter. I cooked on the grill and we partied with good food, good drinks and good music. It’s getting to be that time of year when I start doing a lot of barbeques and having parties in the back yard. We have so much fun every spring and summer, lol. I have the most exciting house in the neighborhood!

I want to introduce you to Bella, my new Italian Greyhound. She is about 1 1/2 years old and only weighs about ten pounds. She needed a good home and I wanted Roxy to have a sister to play with. I have always wanted and Italian Greyhound. She has so much energy, haha. She loves to curl up and sleep with me and she has to be with me at all times. If I’m gone for a few minutes she starts crying. I think it’s because she is still getting used to her new home. It’s a good thing Roxy is here with her. I think Roxy is learning a lot from Bella and I think Bella feels more comfortable having Roxy around in her new home. I’m finding out that Italian Greyhounds are a lot of work too. They have very fine hair. I have to use a doggy sunscreen on her to keep her from getting sunburns when she’s outside. My dog groomer loves my dogs. I take them to the groomer almost every day for a visit and she brushes their teeth for free, lol. I love having small breed dogs. They are so much fun and they love to snuggle, and the best part is, they can go almost anywhere with me

Bonjour! How has everyone been doing? Sorry I’ve been away so long. I took a much needed trip to Toronto with a friend to visit my friend David. We spent a few days there doing a little shopping for new clothes, a little bar hopping, sitting in the hot tub and swimming in the pool. It was great to get away for a few day and hang out with good friends. I don’t get to see them as often as I like so when we are together we make the best of it. Of course while I was in Toronto I had to visit my friends Todd and Mandy at Goodhandy’s. No visit to Toronto is complete without visiting Goodhandy’s. There’s always something fun going on there, hehe. The weather was really warm. We were wearing shorts almost the entire time. I’m so glad spring is here

My new roommate has moved in and everything is going great. She is a fantastic cook. Tonight she is making homemade pasta with alfredo sauce. The house smells incredible right now. I can’t wait to dive into a big bowl of fetuccini alfredo, mmmmmmm! We have a lot in common and it’s really nice to have her here. Having another person here makes the house seem more alive. Bonjour! OMG, my hair is so long. I have never let my hair grow this long in my life, haha. What do you think? Should I keep it or cut it?

Today I went to the gym for a while and spent some time working with Roxy on training her to sit, stay and other basic commands. She’s doing really well. I love that she makes eye contact with me and waits for my next command. I can tell that she really wants to please me. Miniature Pincers are so intelligent. I really think she is the smartest dog I’ve ever had

I’m getting a new roommate soon. A friend is moving into my place for a while. I’ve never had a roommate in my home. She will be renting my spare bedroom. This is going to be a fun experience. It’s also going to be nice to have someone to share the house with without being in a relationship. It also makes me feel more secure when I travel just knowing that I have someone I can trust at home. I’m so excited to have her move in, haha!

Friday morning I am going to visit my parents and taking little Roxy with me. I can’t wait for my family to see her. My mom is going to fall in love with her. I think Roxy is going to like being out in the country where she can run and play. She’s going to have so much fun exploring around my parents’ house and yard. My parents love animals. I hope Mom doesn’t try to keep her, lol

Tonight going to hang out with friends for a little while. I don’t go out and drink or party that often. Too much alcohol is bad for my diet and fitness routine, but I think it’s good to go out with friends and let your hair down every now and then – and now that I have so much hair I have a lot to let down, haha.
